Villach: For operations in the federal state of Carinthia, operator ÖBB-Postbus has received 35 MCV C127 FC LE hydrogen buses as part of the DeCarB – Decarbonising Carinthian Bus Transport project. This makes the state home to the largest hydrogen bus fleet in the country. Alongside ÖBB Postbus, Wiener Linien remains the second operator of hydrogen buses, running a total of 21 vehicles powered by this fuel. The new MCV buses will enter service in June 2026.

Lower Austria: Daimler Buses Austria reports on social media about the handover of 55 new Setra S515LE buses, manufactured at the Hoşdere plant in Istanbul, for NÖVOG. A significant portion of these buses was received by carrier Gschwindl for operations in the north of Vienna.

Salzburg: The Salzburg branch of Dr. Richard, Albus, has announced the purchase of 34 new Yutong U12LF electric buses. This marks the first large-scale purchase of Chinese electric buses for Austria and the second time, after Amstetten, that buses from this manufacturer have been chosen.
The total electric bus fleet of Albus has grown significantly: previously around 20 MAN electric buses were in operation, making Salzburg the third largest region in Austria by number of electric buses in service, after Vorarlberg, where the rollout of around 100 various electric buses is still ongoing, and Vienna, where 60 electric buses are currently operating.
