Madrid's first BRT line BR1 was launched on 30.05.2023. As a tangential line in the north of the city,
it connects the Hospital Ramón y Cajal with the new urban districts of Sanchinarro and Valdebebas.
There is currently no direct connection to the metro to Madrid city center, so passenger numbers are still quite low.
In planned operation, 10 Irizar ietram 12m are used.
