Hato's double-decker open-top buses (all existing are Mitsubishi Fuso Aero King) were commonly built before 2000, so Hato had purchased 3 or 5 (I can't remember) double-decker open-top buses from Wright, with the plan to deliver them before the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

However then came the near bankruptcy of Wrightbus, and COVID-19. only 1 vehicle was eventually delivered in 2021, and it is not yet known what model Hato will purchase.

Oh, that's bad. But wright is working now, as long as i know. Because their Facebook is active, and they produce vehicles.

All 3 of Hato's and 1 of Keikyu's having arrived, Scania K410 / Wright Eclipse Gemini 3 and Mercedes-Benz OC500LE / UNVI Urbis are now the only 2 option for Open-Top Buses in Japan.

In addition, the future of the Japanese double-decker is uncertain because Van Hool went bankrupt.
