The Kalinin Regional Transport Department was organized before the war, subordinated to the People 's Commissariat of Motor Vehicles and led the work of cargo and passenger motor enterprises of the region. In 1945 it was reorganized into the trust. In 1963 it was reorganized again into the department. In 1983 it was renamed the Kalinin Territorial Association of Road Transport «Kalininautotrans». Since 1990 - «Tver'autotrans». In the 1990s the enterprises were withdrawn from the association, and «Tver'autotrans» was transformed into a state unitary enterprise. Here are the buses owned by cargo companies, car repair plant and subordinated institutions - training mill, supply department (OMTS), SMU, patent and technical bureau (PTB), transport and operational agency (TOA), including after they were removed from «Tver'autotrans» (now only the training and course mill, converted into a car school, is preserved from them).
