Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority or Capital Metro, is the public transit operator for the city of Austin, Texas and the suburbs of Travis and Williamson Counties. MetroBus - (electric blue) includes circulators, rail connectors, crosstown, UT shuttle, and routes serving downtown. MetroExpress - (red) includes flyer routes, which run along major freeways from residential neighborhoods, park and rides, or rail stations. Some routes use the toll lanes along MoPac highway. MetroRAPID - (silver) bus rapid transit (BRT) routes that serve the heaviest corridors using articulated and 40-ft buses. There are plans for expand the Rapid network in the future. MetroRail - (red) commuter train service along 32 miles of track and 9 stations from downtown Austin to the city of Leander. MetroAccess - (white) paratransit service using small cutaway vans.
